Booking and payment

Direct bookings made on this website are confirmed when payment is received in full. Payments are processed in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) by Xendit, a licensed payment processor. Card details are handled by Xendit and never touch this website.

Prices shown in other currencies are approximate conversions for convenience only. The amount charged is the IDR amount shown at checkout. A 10% service charge is included in the total shown.

Cancellations and changes

Payment in full confirms your booking. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Cancellations must be made in writing. Cancel 30 or more days before check-in and you may reschedule at the current rates.

Within 29 days of check-in, or for a no-show, the booking and payment are forfeited.

No refunds for no-shows, early check-out or unused nights.

A 10% service charge is included in the total shown.

Check-in and check-out

Check-in is from 2:00 pm and check-out is by 12:00 pm. Tell us your arrival time in advance and we will arrange your welcome, and airport transfer from Tambolaka if requested.

Your stay and safety

Sumba Retreat Kerewe is a beachfront property on the open Indian Ocean in a rural part of West Sumba. The beach, ocean, surf, pool areas and natural surroundings are enjoyed at your own risk. Conditions, currents and swell can change quickly. There is no lifeguard service.

Children must be supervised by an adult at all times, including on the beach, near water and around the grounds.

Medical facilities in the region are limited. We strongly recommend that all guests hold comprehensive travel and medical insurance, including cover for water sports and medical evacuation, for the full duration of their stay.

Responsibility and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indonesian law, PT. Pantai Kerewe Sumba, its owners and staff are not liable for personal injury, illness, loss or damage to property arising from your stay, from the use of the beach, ocean or facilities, or from activities undertaken during your visit, except where caused by our proven negligence and to the extent liability cannot be excluded by law.

Guests are responsible for their personal belongings. Please use common sense with valuables and let us know if you need anything stored securely.

Guest conduct and damage

We ask guests to respect the villas, the staff, neighbouring properties and the local community and its customs. Guests are responsible for the cost of repairing damage to the villa or its contents beyond normal wear and tear.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Your statutory rights under applicable consumer law are not affected.
